Life Plan Community

This term is used in the Pleasant View Retirement Community. It replaces the category currently called Continuing Care Retirement Community or CCRC, which pertains to a private community that offers attractive residential living options, services, and amenities together with a lifelong continuum of healthcare services.

These communities focus on active lifestyles, fostering social responsibility and giving back to the local communities, and healthcare availability. Best of all, it meets these criteria without compromising on the residents’ freedom and comfortability.

Retirement communities falling under this classification offers more than one level of care on a single campus. So, whether you want to avail of independent living, personal care living, memory support services, skilled nursing, or rehabilitative services (post-surgery or illness), Pleasant View can provide a correspondingly suitable residence style and package. Furthermore, residents use their physician, medical services, and treatments covered by their insurance plans.

However, they have the option to engage the services of Pleasant View Retirement Community’s Medical Director should they require a higher level of care.

Home Care Services

Pleasant View Retirement Community offers many services for residents who may need help with light housekeeping, personal hygiene, and medication management. About Pleasant View Communities

Edna Hoffer, Grace Barto, and Esther Henry founded Pleasant View Rest Home in 1954 and opened it to residents on June 6, 1955. The concept behind the retirement community started with their own families – when the founders were faced with caring for their aged parents. From being a nursing home, the property eventually became a non-profit organization in 1972 and continued expanding the community ten years after.

Personal and Dementia care, apartments, cottages, and special units for residents were added in 1990, resulting in the nursing home attaining the status of a Continuing Care Retirement Community or CCRC. Since then, additional services were offered to residents, such as non-medical home care, skilled nursing care, memory care, and rehabilitation services. The retirement community only acquired its name Pleasant View Communities in 2018 and, at present, continues to provide superb senior living accommodations.

Conclusion – Pleasant View Retirement Community Review

At Pleasant View Communities, you or your loved ones get to enjoy the beauty of nature and the countryside in a tranquil, country-like setting in Manheim or the bustle of the downtown districts in Lititz. Either way, both are great senior living options guaranteed to bring you peace of mind, joy, and comfort. The many accommodations that this retirement community has to offer ensure that you continue the pleasures of travel, self-improvement, meaningful relationships with family and friends, and hassle-free home life. I highly recommend considering Pleasant View as a possibility if you are looking for something similar.
